Dear Past and Present Rocky Hill Families,

The 2012 Rocky Hill Great Harvest was a success because of you. The RHES Foundation set a goal of raiseing enough money to fund the PTO and have wi-fi installed throughout the school. Because of your hard work and gnerous giving, these goals were accomplished. In fact, the wi-fi technology was installed during teh lst week of the 2012-2013 school year.

Now its time to look towards the 2013-2014 calendar year. The RHESF and the PTO have set a new goal of $107,000. Visit the RHESF website (www.rhesf.org) to see how the $107,000 will be spent this school year.

Save the date of October 10, 2013 for the 3nd annual Great Harvest fundraiser at the Lighthouse on Baum Drive. The event will feature a buffet dinner, live music  and fantastic live and silent auctions highlighting our student artwork (Heartprints). Invitations will be sent out mid-September. Before then, we would like you to be involved in a few ways:

1. Sponsorship- Your family is invited to be a sponsor of the Great Harvest. Every donation makes a difference in reaching our goal. Making a contribution is easy and straightforward online at www.rhesf.org. Click “Donate”, fill out the form, and click “send the information.” You will be linked to our Paypal site where you can contribute through Paypal or credit card. You may also mail a check payable to RHESF to: Rocky Hill Elementary School Foundation, 1225 Greatcoat Lane, Knoxville, TN 37922. If you would like to be recognized on the Great Harvest invitation ($250 donation or greater), please send your commitment to Kelly Shiell (kellyshiell@bellsouth.net) by Friday, September 1.

2. Silent Auction Items- Do you or someone you know have a business product or service to donate for the auction? Be creative!!! Deadline for auction items is September 10th. Bring donated items to the office and look for the silent auction box. Please provide your contact information for tax receipt (name/address/phone/value of item). If you have questions about the suitability of your item, please contact Meagan Pucket at meaganbpuckett@gmail.com.

3. Volunteer- Join the Silent Auction Committee to gather items from local businesses. Please attend a meeting on August 28th at 10:30 at Panera in Bearden (across from Kroger in the Mercedes Place shopping center). Please let Meagan Puckett know if you are able to attend! meaganbpuckett@gmail.com
