Rocky HIll PTO and Foundation: What's the Difference?

The PTO will continue to provide the programming they have been known for including: teacher enrichment funds, classroom support, the Rock, the Rodeo, Candy Cane Cottage and much more. The Foundation provides the funds necessary for these programs through their budget.

The Foundation is the friend-raising and fundraising arm for the PTO. We conduct an annual benefit to further grow the school's resources to provide technology support, thereby improving writing and math skills. We will also have access to grants and other resources that we have not had previously.

In 2011-2012, we partnered with the PTO to fund PTO programming needs, additional resources for Music (ActivExpressions, instruments, costumes, performance items), improvements to the outdoor campus, and a "deep cleaning" of the building carpet and tile. The 2012 Great Harvest raised the funds needed to purchase a cart of iPads and for the installation of wi-fi technology.

Because our board is an all volunteer group, all the proceeds from the benefit go right back into Rocky Hill School.
